About Me
About Me
I enjoy cooking, watching bad TV. I also like to play various sports. I used to be on volleyball and softball teams in college and I still play volleyball on the weekends occasionally. I spend a lot of time playing with my kids, however I spend most of my time working, and a little bit of time tinkering with this website.I play some guitar in my spare time (between writing novels and bettering humanity). I listen to a lot of music as well. I have developed quite a collection of music. I like loud alternative music from the early 90's. I also own some lounge music, disco, pop mixes, jazz, blues, classic rock, pretty much everything inbetween except country music. I think it is the work of the devil (with a few honorable exceptions, being the few notable classic country legends, the Outlaws, etc..)
Lately I've grown an intense infatuation with new British rock music. Radiohead is one of my favorites. I saw Travis play a few times. I've seen Coldplay. I've been listening to Gomez, Blur, Supergrass, the Doves, Jet (although they're Austrailian), the Vines (Australian again), Badly Drawn Boy, even Oasis, Dandy Warhols, Charlatans UK and Air (although they're French). There's always something new I'm listening to, just most of it you probably haven't heard of.
I've been to a couple of rock concerts in my day. My first concert was Nirvana in 1993. A couple years ago, I saw Bob Dylan play on the bayfront of his hometown in Duluth on the Fourth of July weekend in 1999. Both shows were quite amazing.
I also like to travel. Here is a map of all the state's I've been
to in the United States...
Here's a map of all the countries in the world that I've visited...
And more specifically in Europe, here's all the countries I've been to...
Like most people my age, I grew up watching television. I still have a very bad habit of watching way too much television. I recently bought a TiVo. Now I'm not bossed around by the "man's" TV schedule. I can watch TV on my own terms. Anyways, here are some shows I used to watch, currently watch and reccomend... 24, Scrubs, South Park, The Drew Carey Show (reruns), reruns of Newsradio (very under-rated), the Family Guy (on again, off again), and of course the Simpsons. I also used to watch way too much M2 (MTV2) until they started playing all the same crap over and over again.
If you really feel like you need to delve further into my personal life, email me, or better yet actually talk to me in person instead of being some sort of sick asocial Internet voyeur.
As a fun project, I compiled my very own life story.
